Highway 270 Collision Claims One Life, Injures Another

29-year-old Nicholas W. Perry (Story, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Monday, April 12, 2021.

Shortly after 6:30 a.m. Mr. Perry was traveling east on Highway 270 when his vehicle (2019 Nissan Rogue) crossed the centerline. Mr. Perry’s vehicle struck the rear trailer tire of an 18-wheeler (2015 Freightliner) before colliding with a westbound vehicle (2014 Ford F350).

39-year-old Amber B. Steinhauer (Hot Springs, AR) was driving the westbound Ford vehicle and sustained injuries in the accident. Ms. Steinhauer was transported with injuries to National Park Medical Center.

Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
