I-30 Truck Wreck Near Arkadelphia Claims the Life of Jerry Tucker

75-year-old Jerry Tucker (Quitman, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that took place on Thursday, May 30, 2019.

At approximately 6:15 p.m. Mr. Tucker was driving west in the outside lane of Interstate 30 near mile marker 67. A 2017 Volvo tractor-trailer was traveling west in the inside lane of the Interstate 30 when Mr. Tucker’s vehicle (2017 Chevrolet Silverado) crossed the line and struck the 18-wheeler on its passenger side. Both vehicles left the interstate to the south into the grass median. The Volvo semi-truck came to a rest after leaving the interstate, but Mr. Tucker’s vehicle struck the cable barrier dividing west and eastbound traffic.

Conditions at the time of the accident were clear and dry.
