Driver Dies in Highway 65 Collision with 18-Wheeler

55-year-old Patrick F. Scott (Eudora, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that occurred on Friday, September 13, 2019.

At approximately 10:40 p.m. Mr. Scott was driving south on Highway 65 near Eudora when he attempted to pass a 2nd vehicle (2019 Kia Rio) traveling south on Highway 65. While attempting to pass, Mr. Scott’s vehicle (2013 Chrysler 300) collided head-on with a semi-truck (2015 Volvo TTL) traveling north on Highway 65. Mr. Scott was ejected from the vehicle.

Following the initial collision, the Kia Rio traveling south was struck as well. 22-year-old Chkyiah Keyara Wiley (Monroe, LA) was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident. 35-year-old Darren Lamar Toney (Lake Village, AR) and an unidentified minor were passengers in the vehicle.

27-year-old Terry Flowers (Ruleville, MS) was driving the 18-wheeler at the time of the accident.

Those involved were transported with injuries to Chicot Memorial Hospital.

Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
